Terms of Service

Last updated: May 9, 2026

By accessing or using safetyyield.com ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Informational use only

SafetyYield provides rate information and savings tools for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. We are not a financial advisor, broker, or bank. Always consult a qualified professional and verify rates and terms directly with the financial institution before making any decision.

2. Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep rate data accurate and up to date, but APYs change frequently. Rates shown on the Site may differ from the institution's current offer. The institution's website is the authoritative source. We are not liable for errors, omissions, or out-of-date information.

3. FDIC / NCUA insurance

We highlight whether deposit accounts are FDIC- or NCUA-insured based on the institution's membership. Insurance limits are $250,000 per depositor, per insured institution, per ownership category. SafetyYield is not a bank, is not a depository institution, and does not hold deposits. We do not provide insurance and do not guarantee any rate, account, or institution.

4. Calculators

The CD ladder, compound interest, and I-Bond calculators are simplified tools for illustration. They do not account for fees, taxes, early withdrawal penalties, rate changes mid-term, or other real-world factors. Treat results as estimates, not financial projections.

5. Advertising

The Site may display third-party advertisements via networks such as Google AdSense. We do not control the content of these ads and do not endorse advertised products or services. Inclusion of an ad is not a recommendation.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Use the Site at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SafetyYield and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, including without limitation any decision you make based on information shown on the Site.

8. Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party websites (banks, credit unions, TreasuryDirect, news sources). We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

9. Intellectual property

The original content on this Site (rate aggregations, methodology, written guides, calculators) is owned by SafetyYield. Bank names, logos, and trademarks are property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the federal or state courts located in the United States.
